The Te Nikau Retreat has four unique Lodges - nestled in the native West Coast bush. You can book private rooms, beds or a whole Lodge - we have many different options, perfect for families, couples, solo-travelers or groups.
TE RURU LODGE
Te Ruru is our main Lodge, conveniently located opposite of the Reception.
In four bedrooms can sleep up to 10 people and enjoy cosy nights in front of the fireplace.

KORU
Koru is a wee hut just 10 meters from Te Ruru Lodge. It’s tucked away in the bush and sleeps up to two people. Our guests use the kitchen, bathroom and Lounge in Te Ruru Lodge.

TE NIKAU LODGE
The Te Nikau Lodge is the “original” building of the Te Nikau Retreat. It’s a very characteristic house, nestled in the bush - it gives you a lot of privacy and a lot to discover. It’s just a short walk from the car park.
In three bedrooms can sleep up to six people and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Te Nikau - room 3 $ 125/night (Queen- and Single-bed)
All prices are for 2 people (except room 1). Room 3 can have an extra person for $ 30/night.

RATA LODGE
Rata is our biggest Lodge, surrounded by nature and with a porch to hang out - perfect for families and groups. The big bed room at the second floor, the rock in the kitchen and the shape of the house make it really individuell and so much fun to explore.
In three bedrooms can sleep up to 10 people.

WEKA LODGE
Spacious self contained Lodge suited to hikers, cyclists and adventurers and also families. Conveniently located next to a car park and only a short walk through the bush to the beach.
It has one big bed room with seven single beds (no bunks!)

STARGAZER
Our Stargazer is like a wooden tent - but offers way more comfort with a very comfortable mattress and solid walls. It comes with glass panels which offer a beautiful view of the day- and night-sky.
It’s secluded in our native rainforest and only a minute walk from the Te Nikau Lodge or Weka Lodge where our guests use the kitchen, bathroom and Lounge. (Please note: there is no electricity!)
